Spanish I and Pre-Calculus build on the company’s extensive course list

ARLINGTON, Va. – With already impressive Web-based course offerings, EdOptions has added two more courses to its list: Spanish I, the company’s first foreign language course, and Pre-Calculus. Both courses are available for the 2008-2009 school year;

The primary focus of the Spanish course is to foster skills that enable students to interact in daily life with other Spanish speakers and to communicate when traveling to Spanish-speaking regions.

“Spanish I is our most technologically advanced course yet,” said Janice Wilder, EdOptions’ vice president of academics and curriculum development. “With more than 2,500 audio files, interactive quizzes and games, the course makes learning a new language fun for the students.”

Pre-Calculus reviews basic algebraic concepts and moves into operations. It covers topics ranging from trigonometric functions and identities, to polar coordinates and parametric equations.

Both Spanish I and Pre-Calculus offer students greater opportunities.
