BLUE RIDGE INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY™ OPENS NEW LEARNING CENTER IN TEMPE

TEMPE, Arizona – Blue Ridge International Academy, the triple-accredited online school, announces the opening of the Blue Ridge Tempe Community Learning Center.

The center offers high school students needing to recover credit, as well as adult learners seeking their high school diploma or GED a quiet, professionally staffed learning lab in which to take Blue Ridge International Academy courses. Although Blue Ridge’s online courses are accessible from home, students who don’t have Internet access will now have a place to complete their work.

“The whole point of the learning center is to serve the entire education community, not any particular group,” said David Reed, Blue Ridge assistant director and overseer of the center. “Our mission is to engulf ourselves as a partner of the community, as well as help the community.”

The 2,000 sq-ft center was designed with two labs that include 25 computer stations, and certified teachers are available online to help students with their work. Currently, center hours are from 7am to 5pm Monday through Friday but as the need grows, the center will extend its hours into the evenings and weekends.

“The focus of the new learning center is to provide Blue Ridge students with all the facilities needed for success,” said Reed. “We want them to meet their goals and we believe that this new learning lab will help.”
