(1 credit) Studies British literature in order of the historical time periods and shows the influence of cultural and historical change on the authors’ themes. Composition skills are expanded with an emphasis on analyzing literary works. Topics include Chaucer and the Middle Ages, Shakespeare, the Cavalier Poets, and the Romantic, Victorian and Modern eras.
